Araw 6 ng 30
My Comforter
This is a comforting scripture:
11 Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
When I was a girl, my grandmother White, Dad’s mother, made me a comforter. It was covered with flannelette and filled with wool. In the deep cold of winter, I could cover myself with this blanket and be warm… cozy even.
Jesus calls the Holy Spirit our Comforter.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Now I have my Comforter wrapped around me. He lives in me. The Holy Spirit is my helper and comforter.
God bless you today.
Reflection
Where do you need comfort today? What hope do you find in this promise of gladness and joy?
Prayer
Holy Spirit, thank You for being my Helper and Comforter. You know the sadness and burdens I carry. Help me to receive Your comfort and hold on to the hope You give. May I also share Your kindness with someone who needs encouragement. Amen.
